Return Policy
90 Days
Most merchandise can be returned within 90 days with proof of purchase to The Home Depot unless noted below. The Home Depot reserves the right to decline returns where a product does not have a manufacturing defect but has been damaged by the customer, or to prevent fraud or abuse.
365 Days
If your purchase was made with The Home Depot Consumer Credit Card, The Home Depot Pro Xtra Credit Card (Commercial Revolving Charge), or The Home Depot Commercial Account, you have 365 days from date of purchase to receive a full refund, unless noted in “In-Store Return Exceptions,” “Online Return Exceptions” and or “Return Policy Exceptions” below.
While most plants are returnable within 90 days, perennials, trees, roses, and shrubs have a 1-year guarantee and can be returned for store credit.

Generators that are unused and in their original factory-sealed packaging. (Other than Whole House and Stationary Generators)
Consumer Electronics (Televisions & Computers)
Paint Sprayers (unused and in its original factory-sealed packaging)

All Major Appliances (Refrigeration Appliances, Washers, Dryers, Ranges, Dishwashers and some Microwaves) for damages and defects
Non-Returnable / Non-Refundable
Sales of Gift Cards and Store Credits are final and can only be used for purchasing.
Whole House and Stationary Generators
Utility Trailers
Cut Flowers and Floral Arrangements
Labor, Delivery, and or Installation Services
Product Samples (e.g., Paint, Flooring, Fabric, and Wallpaper)

Custom Products, including:
Window Coverings: Custom window coverings cannot be returned and may only be remade under the “Guarantee To Fit” policy. Limited to four item remakes per household, per lifetime. Same-product exchanges only, within 15 calendar days of receipt of package. Changes are restricted to size and mount only. In stock products are not included under this guarantee. Online cancellations cannot be made. Please call 1-800-921-2119 for assistance.

Refunds
Getting your refund is easy.
For the quickest refund, just bring your return items back to the store.
For returns sent to us by mail or carrier, we’ll process your refund after we receive and verify your return. It typically takes about 7 business days to process your return.
Once we’re done, it may take up to 10 business days for your bank to put funds back into your account.
